GRASSLAND BUSHMAN LODGE
Central Kalahari Game Reserve |
| Grassland Bushman Lodge is a 15 000 ha private
wildlife reserve situated to the west of the
Central Kalahari Game Reserve in the Ghanzi district
of Botswana. The lodge is somewhat different from
most others you will encounter in Botswana. It is a
family concern with the staff being made up entirely
of San (Bushmen), who love to share their passion
and first hand knowledge of the Kalahari with their
guests. |
| The lodge can accommodate 16 guests in
comfortable en-suite chalets and is also able to
accommodate families in a family unit. The main
complex area is divided into a large lounge and
dining room, a covered bar area that also doubles up
as a dinning area/ outside lounge and which is
adjacent to the swimming pool. All facilities
overlook a waterhole where a large variety of
wildlife can be seen in comfort. |
| The lodge can be accessed via air charter to a
private registered airstrip, self-drive access in a
4 X 4 vehicle. Alternatively guests can be collected
by the lodge staff in Ghanzi (where secure parking
is available) and transferred to the lodge. |
| At Grassland Bushman Lodge the activities focus
on a comprehensive San (Bushmen) experience, day and
night drives, the unique predator rehabilitation
center and finally horseback safaris - where guests
can get really close to wildlife. |
