| Mozambique falls within the
tropical region of southern Africa. With its long
beautiful coastline lapped by the warm Indian Ocean
it offers a spectacular array of nature experiences.
The coastal zone is characterised by offshore
islands, coral reefs, inland lakes, rivers and
estuaries. The hinterland has two of southern
Africa’s great rivers in the Zambezi and the
Limpopo. Mozambique has a history
full of intrigue, iniquity and intrepid. From the
Sultans to the Portuguese and the Slave Traders, the
various influences have given rise to places of
unique architecture, culture, style and a renowned
