| Namibia is a vast and
starkly beautiful country providing one with the
feeling of solitude and leaving one in awe of nature
and its workings. The Namib Desert is the oldest
desert in the world with massive dunes, exquisite
panoramic vistas and unique endemic fauna and flora.
The Skeleton Coast forms the long coastal belt
between the Atlantic Ocean’s cold Benguela Current
and the dry hot desert areas of Damaraland and the
Kaokaveld inland from the coast. Whilst the long arm
of the Caprivi reaches out from Etosha in the west
to the magnificence of the Zambezi and Chobe rivers
in the east. Namibia is a country of real beauty
where the traditions of the indigenous peoples have
not been lost entirely to western civilisation. |
